Pelham Parkway - Phase II

Pelham Parkway Phase II officially reached substantial completion in September of 2023. This project, which kicked off in 2017, transformed a 1.7-mile stretch of Pelham Parkway’s westbound main road and North service road. Over the past 6 years, the C.A.C. team achieved some remarkable milestones, including the installation of nearly 7,400 linear feet of 48" and 1,000 linear feet of 36" Trunk Water Main. One unique feat was adapting the manifold from 48" to three 36" Water Mains to accommodate the subway tunnel beneath Pelham Parkway. In addition, we've added 26,700 linear feet of Distribution Main, 10,200 linear feet of Storm and Combined Sewers, totaling over 7 miles of pipe! We also installed 82 manholes, 207 catch basins, and over 300 new trees in the park-like median.

The project also required the restoration of over 166,000 square feet of sidewalk reconstruction, 40,000 linear feet of Steel Faced Curb, and the paving of a whopping 8,000 tons of 100% recycled asphalt. Being our largest project to date, Pelham closed out at a value of $127 million at substantial completion.
