C.A.C. Keeps Astoria "Hot" This Winter
Con Edison contacted C.A.C. to mobilize it's gas operations and immediately install over 600 ft. of 24 in. diameter high pressure steel gas mains in Astoria, Queens. Resulting from an adjacent water main damage caused by others, the issue raised enormous concerns for the area, at which the Consolidated Edison Company of New York approached C.A.C. to help rectify the issue and prevent the gas main, that supplied the entire Astoria community, from failing.
Working around the clock, in freezing temperatures that enveloped New York City in January, C.A.C. successfully installed the new gas main and kept the heat on for the residents of Astoria. The job was completed within 2 weeks.
